(Emmetsburg)– Minor injuries were reported in a single vehicle crash Monday in Palo Alto county.
The Sheriff’s Office says 61-year-old Timothy Twaiten of Emmetsburg was driving a 2010 Ford pickup eastbound in the 4400 block of 370th Street. Deputies say the road was snow covered and that Twaiten was driving was near the fog line when he met a westbound vehicle. They say Twaiten’s vehicle then traveled onto the shoulder and that he over-corrected when he tried to steer it back onto the roadway. The pickup then slid sideways into the south ditch where it rolled once, coming to rest on the driver’s side.
Minor injuries were reported to Twaiten but he apparently wasn’t taken to a hospital for treatment.
The crash took place a little before 12:30 pm.
