Palo Alto County Authorities Investigate Vehicle Thefts

November 22, 2014

(Emmetsburg)—Authorities say a recent rash of stolen vehicles in Palo Alto county should serve as a reminder to lock your vehicle whenever it’s unattended.

Palo Alto county authorities say two vehicles were reported stolen within an hour or so of each other this past Saturday. The first, a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica, was reported stolen around 10:30 a.m. from a residence in the 300 block of South Brown Avenue in Graettinger. About an hour later, a 1996 Geo Metro was reported stolen from a residence in the 500 block of Robins Street in Graettinger. That vehicle was recovered a short time later in Graettinger; the Chrysler Pacifica was located in Estherville early Sunday. Neither vehicle was damaged.

Anyone with information into the incidents should contact the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office at (712) 852-3535.
