(Emmetsburg)– A semi tractor/trailer rollover this (Tues.) morning in Palo Alto county sent one person to the hospital.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Patrick Thilges of Rodman was driving a 2002 International semi tractor pulling a trailer northbound at the intersection of 410th Street and 540th Avenue when he lost control on the ice-covered road. The rig entered the ditch and as Thilges tried to bring it back onto the road, the trailer and tractor rolled, coming to rest in the ditch on the passenger side.
Thilges was taken by private vehicle to the Palo Alto County Hospital for treatment of what was described as non-incapacitating injuries.
65-thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the tractor and trailer, owned by Ag Enterprises of Algona.
The mishap took place around 5:30 a.m.
