(Emmetsburg)– A crash Monday afternoon in Palo Alto county claimed the life of an Emmetsburg woman.
The Iowa State Patrol says 21-year-old Rachel Jackson of Emmetsburg was eastbound on 390th Street when she met another vehicle. Troopers say Jackson then swerved from the middle of the road causing her to lose control. The 1987 Oldsmobile she was driving went into the ditch where it rolled several times, ejecting Jackson, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The mishap took place shortly before 2:30 p.m.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office.
