(Arnolds Park)– The Okoboji Summer Theatre Association will hold the annual Omelet Brunch on Saturday morning during Winter Games. President Mike McKim says the even helps raise funds for scholarships…
“The Omelet Brunch is a continuing tradition that the Summer Theatre association has done during Winter Games to help raise money that we use for student scholarships for the students that come during the summer to the Okoboji Summer Theatre. It’s going on this Saturday. We begin at 8:00 am and go until 12:30 at the Okoboji Bible Conference which is right across from the old Okoboji Middle School there. It’s $11.00 per person, $6.00 for kids six and under, and again all of the money that we raise goes to those scholarships for the Okoboji Summer Theatre students.”
He adds that the upcoming season will be announced following the brunch…
“The team from Stephens College comes up and they will be talking about the seven productions that will be going on at the Summer Theatre this year, four musicals and three non-musicals, so they do that announcement. That will be at 1:00 right there at the Okoboji Bible Conference again where we have the breakfast. It’s the 65th season for the Okoboji Summer Theatre and so it’s always fun to find out what they’re going to be doing so you can plan your Summer Theatre events.”
The annual membership fee to the Okoboji Summer Theatre Association is 20 dollars.
