(Arnolds Park)– The President of Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, which owns and operates the Okoboji Summer Theatre, was among the throngs to attend this weekend’s University of Okoboji Winter Games. She was accompanied by OST Marketing Director RuthAnn Burke as they announced the upcoming season of productions during an event Saturday afternoon. The schedule is as follows:
“The Fantasticks”, a musical, June 22-27
“The Girls of the Garden Club”, a comedy, June 29-July 4
“See How They Run”, a comedy, July 6th-11th
“The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds”, an adult drama, July 12th-18th
“Company”, a musical, July 20th-25th
“Unnecessary Farce”, a comedy, July 27th-Aug. 1st
“The Chalk Garden”, a mystery, Aug. 3rd-8th
“Rabbit Hole”, an adult drama, Aug. 10th-15th
and “Beauty And The Beast”, a family musical, Aug. 17th-22nd.
Beth Leonard will return for her 13th season as Artistic Director, along with traditional favorites Rob Doyen, Lamby Hedge, and Michael Burke, to name a few.
Ticket prices for the 2010 season will be $18 for musicals and $16 for non-musicals.
The OST box office will open Monday, June 14th.
Saturday evening (8 p.m.) performances will be available at the two-for-one ticket price for all ages. Matinee performances at 4:30 p.m. each Saturday will continue to be two-for-one tickets only for senior citizens ages 55 and older.
Lynch, who was in the Iowa Great Lakes for the first time for the winter this past weekend, told KUOO news they continue to be very grateful to the lakes area community for its support over the years and that the future for OST is very bright.
