(Sibley)– A two-vehicle collision this past Thursday in Osceola county sent three people to the hospital. The Sheriff’s Office says 41-year-old Kimberly Oakland of Ocheyedan was driving a 2016 Ram northbound on Wilson Avenue and a 17-year-old male juvenile from Lake Park was driving a 2002 Dodge Dakota southbound. The juvenile stated to deputies that he fell asleep and crossed the center line, colliding head-on with the Ram.
Oakland and a female juvenile passenger were taken to the Osceola Regional Health Center by ambulance; the male juvenile driver of the Dodge Dakota was taken by private vehicle to Lakes Regional Healthcare.
The juvenile was cited for failure to maintain control.
The collision took place a little after 9:00 am Thursday.
