Osceola Co Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges Against Minnesota Man

(Sibley)– A Mankato man faces drug charges following a weekend traffic stop on Highway 60 near the Super 8 Motel in Sibley.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy made the stop after getting a report of an erratic driver.

An investigation resulted in the arrest of 18-year-old Matthew Roberts of Mankato. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance…a serious midemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor. Roberts was booked into jail and was later released after posting a $1,300 cash bond.

Authorities say additional charges are pending the outcome of DCI lab tests.
