(Sibley)– A single vehicle crash Saturday evening on Highway 59 north of 170th Street in Osceola county sent one person to the hospital.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 47-year-old Biel Dieng of Worthington was driving a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am southbound when something broke on the vehicle, causing him to lose control. The vehicle rolled into the east ditch.
Dieng sustained possible injuries and was taken to the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley.
The vehicle was totaled.
Dieng was cited for violation of an instruction permit and failure to prove security against liability.
The crash took place around 7:00 p.m.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Sibley ambulance.
