(Spirit Lake)– An Orange City man accused of threatening to shoot his father is in the Dickinson county jail. A criminal complaint filed by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office charges 27-year-old Nathan Kamstra with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. The complaint says the alleged incident took place a little after 1:30 pm this past Saturday at Acorn Ridge, on the east side of East Lake Okoboji.
Kamstra has also been charged by Spirit Lake Police with operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent. He’s accused of stealing a pickup around 9:20 pm Saturday evening that had been parked in the parking lot at Lakes Regional Healthcare. The vehicle was recovered a short time later at Acorn Ridge, where Kamstra had been staying.
Kamstra is being held on a $2,000 bond.
