(Spirit Lake)– One of the two suspects arrested in a car jacking earlier this month in Okoboji has been extradited back to Iowa and is now in the Dickinson county jail. 27-year-old Vaughn Harris and 40-year-old Jessica Nordrum, both of the twin cities area, were wanted in the incident that took place on Monday, October 13th in the parking lot at Lake Okoboji Resort, or the former Arrowwood, in Okoboji. A pregnant woman who had been driving the vehicle that was commandeered was seriously injured in the incident. The victim, who’s from Florida, suffered injuries to her leg, arm and shoulder on the right side of her body.
Harris and Nordrum were taken into custody in Blue Earth county, Minnesota after leading authorities there on a pursuit later on the same day as the carjacking incident. Both were being held in Minnesota on charges there, however court documents indicate Nordrum has now been brought back to Iowa. She was booked into the Dickinson county jail over the weekend on charges of robbery in the 1st degree, assault causing serious injury and theft in the 1st degree. Nordrum is being held on a $100,000 bond. Harris is still pending extradition.
