(Milford)– The Milford City Council has opted to sell the old City Hall building at 1021 10th Street in Milford.
The council Monday evening talked about a possible process that would include receiving sealed bids. They set Thursday, August 14th from 5:00 until 8:00 pm as the date and time for an open house to show the building to possible bidders. Arrangements to view the building outside of that time can be made by calling city offices.
The council will schedule the date for a public hearing on their intention to sell the building at their meeting August 25th with September 22nd set as the deadline to receive sealed bids.
City officials say some repairs were recently made to the building’s HVAC system along with some new windows that were installed.
Mayor Steve Anderson says he’s had several people come to him expressing interest in the building.
