(Okoboji)– Here’s a chance to enjoy some fall foliage in the Iowa Great Lakes and get some exercise in the process.
The annual Oktoberfest Bike Ride will be held this Saturday (Sept. 26th) as part of the national Rails To Trails Day celebration.
The event commemorates the recognition of the Dickinson county spine trail as the five thousandth mile of rails to trails nationally.
Saturday’s ride will be headquartered at Arrowwood Resort.
Participants can choose either a 25 and 50 mile route.
Registrations are being taken online at threesons-dot-com or in person at Arrowwood between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. Saturday.
The 25-dollar entry fee includes a t-shirt, foof and music.
All proceeds go to the Dickinson County Trails Association.
