Okoboji’s New Superintendent Has Been On The Job A Week Now

July 07, 2025

(Milford)– Will Dible has been on the job as the new Superintendent for the Okoboji Community Schools a week now. He comes on board as construction begins on a new elementary school and improvements and renovations get underway at the high school, all made possible through a $67 million bond issue district voters approved in 2024. Dible says he was involved in a number of planning meetings held early on in the process…

“You know when we met with Klinger or the architects, Co-op, I’ve really been in many of those meetings in addition to having background in some projects in my last district, so it has been nice to be able to keep informed and see where we’re at with the meetings, how the different bids are coming in, what are going to be kind of our big pieces, did we come in under budget, over budget. And so he’s really kept me in the loop on all of that for the different project pieces so I feel very confident coming in.”

In addition to the building projects, Dible outlines some additional priorities for the Okoboji Community Schools…

“I very much like to focus on learning and definitely what are some of the things that we’re already doing that are great and how we can improve upon those. And so it’s a little bit of learning at the beginning, learning from the staff and the community, the admin team, and the students even of what are some of the great things we do and where we can improve on those. Outside of that I think some of the things would be finishing up that bus barn, obviously, and some other and making sure this project continues smoothly.”

Dible succeeds Todd Abrahamson who retired after 9 years as Okoboji’s Superintendent.
