(Milford)– The Okoboji school board has narrowed the list of finalists in its search for a new Superintendent for the district.
The original list of 25 applicants was submitted by Gaylord Tryon and Associates, a consulting firm that’s been working with the board in its search for a replacement for Bob Miller, who will be retiring at the end of the current school year.
The five finalists include Rob Olsen, Principal at Okoboji Elementary; Lyle Schwartz, Superintendent of the South Hamilton Community School in Jewell, Iowa; Michael Reeves, Superintendent of the Lone Tree Community School District in Lone Tree, Iowa; Gary Janssen, Superintendent of the North Tama Community School District in Traer, Iowa; and Terry Snyder, Assistant Superintendent of the Fremont Public Schools in Fremont, Nebraska.
The finalists will be interviewed by the Okoboji School Board in sessions scheduled for this Thursday and Friday, March 17th and 18th.
The board narrowed down the list of finalists during a closed meeting Monday.
