(Milford)– The possible purchase of some land adjacent to the Elementary School playground at 609 “N” Avenue in Milford was a topic of discussion Thursday at a special meeting of the Okoboji School Board.
Superintendent Bob Miller says the board took no action, after discussing the matter for about a half hour. Instead, he says they’ll hold a public hearing at 5:25 p.m. Monday, December 8th. Miller says the board will decide whether or not to make an offer on the property based on the outcome of the hearing.
Miller says several potential uses have been identified for the property, which currently has a house on it. They include additional parking; a possible addition to the playground; green space; or additional room for loading and unloading school buses.
