(Milford)– The Okoboji School District has a new Superintendent.
Gary Janssen, currently Superintendent and Jr. High Principal for the North Tama Community School District in Traer, Iowa, will begin his new job with the Okoboji School District this coming July 1st.
Janssen was among five finalists that was whittled down from the original list of 25 applicants for the position. He was also among the finalists for the Superintendent’s position with the Estherville-Lincoln Central School District.
The Okoboji School board approved the hiring of Janssen during a special meeting Friday.
He succeeds current Superintendent Bob Miller who will be retiring at the end of the current school year.
