(Arnolds Park)—A local philanthropic group wants to hear how lakes area residents and visitors feel about non-profit giving. Mary Freiborg of the Okoboji Foundation tells KUOO news they’re conducting a survey along that line…(click here for comment.) “It’s a survey for the community, residents and visitors to really give their feedback on how they feel about non profit giving as a whole in our community to any non profit that they would give to or think about giving to in the future. It’s available on our website now through September 1st and we’re hoping that many people, it’s a very quick, it’s 18 questions, but most of them are just a very quick answer. It won’t take long at all. It’s completely annonymous. The responses come to us through survey monkey and we’ll be sharing those obviously with our own board, but the great thing is we can help all non profits in the community with the results of the survey when we share it at our annual lakes non profit partnership summit November 5th. We’ll be able to give the summary of what the feelings were from the survey and make some plans with all of the non profits that are there about how we can serve our community better.”
A link to the survey can be found at the foundation’s website, www.okobojifoundation.org. Freiborg says those who do not have access to the internet can take the survey as well…(click here for comment.) “We do have printed copies of the survey available here in the Okoboji Foundation office. We’re here, the usual work hours from approximately 8:00 until about 4:30 each day and we’re located in Arnolds Park in the large yellow building that’s the Okoboji Spirit Center next to the Iowa Great Lakes Chamber. People can stop and pick up the printed copy and complete it and bring it back to us. We just hope that people will take the survey themselves and send it on to friends and family and business acquaintenances who care about the lakes community. We’d like as many respondents as possible to give us a good idea of what people are feeling.”
Again, the survey is available now through September 1st.
