(Arnolds Park)– The search is on for a new Executive Director of the Okoboji Foundation.
Ann Ditsworth is resigning from the position effective this coming December 31st, saying she plans to pursue new endeavors.
Foundation Chairperson Ann Fitzgibbons says the board plans to fill the position in time for spring and summer activities.
The new leader will be charged with spearheading a long-term effort to expand the Okoboji Foundation endowment.
This past year alone Fitzgibbons says there were 24 applications for grant assistance totaling $726,000. The foundation had $120,000 available to grant. Applications were reviewed by the Foundation’s Grant’s Committee and narrowed to nine entities at $180,775. At the annual meeting in June the Foundation’s membership awarded $90,000 to those applicants and carried forward $30,000 to be added to funds available to grant in 2010.
