(Arnolds Park)– The Okoboji Foundation Thursday announced its grant awards as part of the organization’s annual “Hello Okoboji Summer” event.
The Wahpeton Park Improvement Project was awarded $38,000 to renovate city parks and tennis courts, including pickleball courts. Twin Forks Trap and Skeet Club is receiving $24,999 for their clubhouse project. Okoboji Music Masters was awarded $8,850 for an equipment trailer. The Lakes Area Activities Center will receive $7,500 for a kitchen renovation project; the Bedell Family YMCA and Camp Foster were awarded $180,000 for the visitor’s center project at Camp Foster; and the Dickinson County Conservation Board is getting $75,000 to assist in the acquisition of 161 acres of land.
In total, the Okoboji Foundation granted just over $334,000 to area organizations and projects in 2024.
