(Okoboji)– The Okoboji City Council voted 3-2 Tuesday evening to deny a request from Okobotree to do a sculpture on a dead tree that’s in city right-of-way in the area of Lakeshore Drive and Nature Center Road.
Councilman Jim Hentges said he’s concerned motorists may be distracted by the sculpture, possibly resulting in a collision or a vehicle traveling into a nearby home. The city instead will have the tree removed.
