Several who spoke at today’s (Fri.) meeting again said time is of the essence.
There was also another call for lakes area cities to form a coalition to establish a clean up of debris from the Iowa Great Lakes. City of Okoboji officials say they’ve been in contact with the area’s legislative representatives in that regard.
On somewhat of a related note, a resident who sustained a lakeshore collapse called on the city and Iowa Great Lakes Sanitary District to work together in relocating a sewer main in the Echo Bay area that runs near some homes and the lake bank…
The city council appointed a committee of two members to meet with Sanitary District representatives to start working on a plan.
