(Milford)– Not only is it Winter Games weekend this weekend, but the Iowa Great Lakes will be hosting another major event as well.
12 jazz bands in class 2A and 4A schools from the region will participate in the Iowa High School Music Association’s State Jazz Band Festival this Saturday, January 28th at the Okoboji High School Auditorium in Milford.
Performances, which are open to the public, will be held throughout the day. The Okoboji High School jazz band will take the stage at 2:55 p.m. Other schools that will be participating include Alta-Aurelia, Emmetsburg, Garner-Hayfield, Lake Mills, Manson-Northwest Webster, Pocahontas Area, St. Edmond of Fort Dodge, Sibley-Ocheyedan, Sioux Central, Sioux Center and Fort Dodge.
Admission will be $5 for adults and $3 for students.
