(Milford)– The Okoboji High School jazz band took home first place honors in class 2A in Tuesday’s competition at the Lewis and Clark Jazz Festival.
Outstanding soloist/musician awards went to Milan Johnson on tenor sax, Mathew Ohl on trombone and Kris Kaufman on trumpet.
Okoboji also won the outstanding brass section and outstanding rhythm section awards for class 2A jazz bands.
The Okoboji Middle School and High School jazz bands will present their annual “Evening of Jazz” concert Friday, March 5th at the Okoboji High School auditorium.
