(Milford)—Top Honors for some local musicians.
The Okoboji High School Jazz Band placed 1st in Class 2A this past Saturday competing in the Indianola Jazz Encounter. Outstanding soloist/musicianship awards were presented to Bre Kopera on alto sax, Emma Myhre on tenor sax, Tyler Ohl on trumpet, Sydney Boeckholdt and Tom Mayer on trombone and Brittany Kolbeck on drums.
Okoboji Middle and High School Jazz Bands are back on the road today (Mon.), traveling to LeMars to compete in the District Jazz Contest.
The two bands will present their annual evening of jazz concert Friday, March 1st in the Okoboji High School Auditorium.
