Officials Release Name Of Spirit Lake Man Killed In Semi Crash

(Albert Lea, Mn.)– The Minnesota State Patrol has released the name of a Spirit Lake man who died when a semi he was driving crashed Thursday afternoon on Interstate 35 near Glenville, Minnesota, which is south of Albert Lea. The victim is identified as 64-year-old Larry Bamsey of Spirit Lake.

Troopers say Bamsey was driving a 2017 Freightliner tractor trailer northbound when the rig collided with a guard rail and started on fire.

The mishap took place a little before 3:00 pm.
