(Rock Rapids)– Officials in Lyon county had to draw a name to determine the winner of a city council seat in Little Rock.
Five people ran for three available positions on the city council in last week’s election. Amy Kruse and Marcus Minter were elected to two of those seats, but there was tie for the third position between Rod Borer and Austin Kannegieter, with each receiving 86 votes. Kannegieter’s name was drawn as the winner during a canvas by the Lyon County Board of Supervisors.
