(Sibley)– Officials with the Sibley-Ocheyedan Community Schools are limiting access to the high school boys locker room after what school officials say was “recent inappropriate behavior”.
A notice sent out to district patrons says effective today (Mon. 1/12), the boys locker room at Sibley-Ocheyedan High School will be locked at all times and that there will be no dressing out this week for physical education classes. It goes on to say that morning weights and practice athletes WILL be allowed in the locker room, however coaches will be the first in and last out. The notice says key card access to the locker room has been shut off for all high school and middle school students, but access to the weight room will still be available.
School officials at Sibley-Ocheyedan didn’t go into further details, only to say the changes are being made for the safety and well being of students.
