(Milford)– State officials say a child started a fire in a mobile home that killed a two-year-old boy in Milford last month.
Dustin Ladehoff died when the fire swept through the mobile home at Pioneer Trailer Park May 7th. The State Medical Examiner’s Office says the boy died of smoke and soot inhalation.
The Iowa Department of Public Safety says another child in the home started the fire on a bed in one of the bedrooms. The child’s name wasn’t released.
Officials say they don’t anticipate filing any charges in the case.
