(Spirit Lake)– Sentencing for a Spirit Lake woman charged with misappropriating funds from the former BASS, Before and School Services program, is set for next month in Dickinson County District Court.
According to court documents, sentencing for Margaret “Meg” Waltz is set for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 21st.
Waltz entered an Alford plea to a charge of theft in the first degree back in June of 2007.
An order filed last month by a Dickinson County District Court Judge set restitution in the case at nearly 402-thousand dollars.
Waltz was originally charged in 2005 after a state audit turned up some questionable expenditures in the BASS program.
