(Hartley)– A fire last Tuesday that destroyed some mobile homes and other property near Hartley resulted in the arrests of two people on arson and burglary charges.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and the Hartley Fire Department responded to the scene at 3283 Yew Avenue. The State Fire Marshall was also summoned after firefighters arrived.
An investigation resulted in the arrests of 20-year-old Cassie Engelkes of Hartley and 26-year-old Erik Sunstrom-Ries of Pocahontas. The two were charged with arson in the second degree and burglary in the third degree.
