O’Brien County Crash Results In Possible Injuries

November 22, 2014

(Primghar)– Possible injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash earlier this week in O’Brien county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 47-year-old Mark Shriver of Sutherland was driving a 1993 Chevrolet pickup southbound on a county road when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle traveled to the opposite side of the road where it went into the ditch and struck a field driveway. It then became airborne, landed and rolled…coming to rest on the the passenger’s side.

Possible injuries were reported to Shriver, but a news release doesn’t say whether or not he was taken to a hospital.

Authorities say he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

$2,000 in damage was estimated to the pickup.

The crash was reported to authorities around 10:20 p.m. Monday.
