O’Brien County Crash Results In Minor Injuries

November 22, 2014

(Primghar)– Minor injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash Monday on Highway 10 in O’Brien county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 29-year-old Matthew Bird of Sioux City was driving a 2001 Mercedes Benz westbound when he fell asleep. The vehicle went into the south ditch where it hit a field drive, causing it to go airborne. It then rolled, coming to rest on its top.

Bird sustained minor injuries but apparently didn’t seek immediate treatment.

Nearly $5,000 in damage was estimated to the vehicle.

The crash took place shortly after 5:00 a.m.
