O’Brien County Crash Injures Two

(Sanborn)– A two-vehicle collision Tuesday evening at the intersection of Highway 18 and O’Brien county road L40 near Sanborn sent two people to the hospital.

The Iowa State Patrol says it involved a 2003 Pontiac driven by 20-year-old Mariana Hernandez of Orange City and a 1998 Oldsmobile driven by 63-year-old Linda Mahlberg of Moville.

Hernandez and Mahlberg were taken by ambulance to the Sheldon hospital. There was no immediate information on the nature of their injuries or conditions.

The collision, which took place around 10:00 p.m., remains under investigation.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office, the Sanborn Police Department, and the Sheldon and Sanborn ambulances and paramedics.
