O’Brien County Collision Sends Two People To The Hospital

March 07, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Sheldon)– A two vehicle collision Wednesday at the intersection of Highway 18 and Oak Hill Avenue just east of Sheldon sent two people to the hospital.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says vehicles driven by 26-year-old Jonathan Rozeboom of Sheldon and 52-year-old Renee Sterler of Sanborn were both westbound on Highway 18. Deputies say Rozeboom had slowed to turn onto Oak Hill Avenue and the two collided.

Sterler and Rozeboom were both taken by ambulance to the Sheldon hospital.

Sterler was cited for following too close and failure to yield.

$5,000 in damage was estimated to a 2001 Ford pickup driven by Rozeboom; damage to a 2011 Chevrolet driven by Sterler was put at $15,000. The collision took place a little before 5:00 pm.
