(Sanborn)– One person was seriously injured Saturday when two pickups collided at an uncontrolled intersection near Sanborn in O’Brien county.
The Iowa State Patrol says 61-year-old Jeffrey Gerritson of Sanborn was driving a 2500 Dodge Ram eastbound on 310th Street and 55-year-old Kevin Gonnerman of Sanborn was driving a 2011 GMC Sierra Northbound on Tanager Avenue when the two collided in the intersection.
Gonnerman was taken to the Sheldon hospital and was transferred by air to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls with serious injuries.
The collision took place a little after 10:30 am. The Iowa State Patrol says it remains under investigation.
