NW Iowa Regional Housing Authority Awarded Slightly More Than $501,000

(Des Moines)– The Iowa Finance Authority has awarded more than $11.2 million in grants to 26 Housing Trust Funds throughout the state to support local housing initiatives. That’s the largest amount of grants awarded since the agency’s inception. Locally, the Northwest Iowa Regional Housing Trust Fund will receive a little more than $501,000.

The funding will go toward development and preservation of housing, infrastructure development, transitional housing, assistance for homeless individuals, rental assistance, and other efforts that directly address local housing needs.

The Northwest Iowa Regional Housing Trust Fund serves Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto and Sioux counties.
