(Cherokee)– A northwest Iowa nonprofit has been awarded funding through the Nonprofit Innovation Fund, a $20 million grant program announced back in May of this year.
The Centers Against Abuse and Sexual Assault will receive a little more than $515,000 to repair and update a thrift shop whose proceeds benefit victims of sexual assault. The award will cover 90 percent of the total project cost of slightly more than $572,000.
Funding for the Nonprofit Innovation Fund is coming from the federal American Rescue Plan Act.
