NW Iowa Man Sentenced On Federal Drug Charge

July 29, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Sioux City)– A Rock Valley man has been sentenced to five years in prison on a federal drug charge.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa says 59-year-old Terrance Buescher was sentenced last week to five years in federal prison for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine. Buescher pleaded guilty to the charge in March of this year.

Evidence showed that from April 2022 through January 2023 Buescher was involved in a conspiracy that distributed at least 20 pounds of meth in the Rock Valley area. He admitted to obtaining pounds of the drug every ten days from a source in Colorado for distribution in northwest Iowa during 2022 and 2023.

Buescher is in the custody of a U.S. Marshal pending transport to a federal prison.
