NW Iowa Habitat For Humanity Seeks Volunteers To Complete Build

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– The Northwest Iowa Habitat for Humanity chapter is putting out a call for help with its current build project that they hope to have done by early November.

Officials say they need six to seven teams to complete the finish work necessary on the home, in order for a dedication ceremony to be held November 6th.

Volunteers are needed to do interior finish work, to apply second coat joint compound, siding, sanding drywall, interior painting, for cabinet installation, varnishing wood, installing two exterior storm doors, final rock picking, raking and grass seeding, to build a side stoop and to install two basement egress windows.

Work on the house is scheduled every Wednesday and Saturday of each week until its completed. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Richard Hildebrand at (712) 330-2606.

Officials say the work schedule can be adjusted if need be.
