(Larchwood)– Two people were injured Monday in the crash of a single engine plane just south of the runway at the Larchwood Airport.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says one person on the plane was taken by ground ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls with minor injuries while a second person was transported by air to the same hospital with what was described as serious but non-life threatening injuries.
No names or other details have been released.
Authorities say the crash is still under investigation and that more information will be forthcoming.
Crews responded to the scene around 1:20 pm Monday.
