(Spirit Lake)– Some local bank branches are about to change hands, pending federal regulatory approval.
Northwest Bank has announced it has entered into an agreement with Liberty Bank to purchase its branch locations in Spirit Lake and Arnolds Park. Plans call for the purchase to be completed by March 31st, 2012, here again pending regulatory approval.

Northwest Bank operates 16 locations in Iowa and Nebraska with assets or more than $862 million. It was named as the Iowa Community/Rural SBA Lender of the Year in Iowa in 2011.
