(Spirit Lake)—A local financial institution has attained Blue Zones status.
It was announced today (Wed.) that Northwest Bank is the first business in Spirit Lake to achieve the Blue Zones designation for a worksite.
Northwest Bank received the designation July 26th in exchange for agreeing to enforce policies and practices that ensure privacy and security of personal data and health information, communicating ideas and information about well-being, offering a health and wellness program and successfully registering employees to pledge and take action on blues zones principals.
The business also completed designation criteria in the areas of leadership, purpose, habitat and physical environment, engagement and creation of social networks, policies and benefits and well-being solutions.
