Greenville – A search warrant executed by the Clay County Sheriff’s Department along with the Spencer Police netted 8 arrests on alcohol and drug charges over the weekend.
At approximately 3:35 in the morning on Saturday, Nov. 12th, officials responded to a report of an underage drinking party at 1206 Moore St. in Greenville and executed the warrant.
Upon conducting a search of the residence, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and numerous alcoholic beverages were found.
Smokey Stover, age 19 of Greenville, Alexis Schindler, age 18 of Spencer, Christian Lamoureaux age 18 of Spencer, Spencer Erb age 18 of Spencer, and Adam Knutson, 20 of Greenville were taken into custody, as were three juveniles.
Knutson and Stover were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Underage Alcohol Possession. Lamoureaux, Schindler, and Erb were all charged with Underage Alcohol Possession. The five adults were held in the Clay County Jail to appear before the magistrate. Three 3 juveniles were cited into juvenile court for Underage Alcohol Possession and were released to the custody of their parents.
Officers also located 18 year old Kyle Strohman of Spencer, 18 year old Chance Sorenson of Spencer and a 16 year old female of Everly running through a yard in Greenville early Saturday morning. All three subjects were found to be under the influence of alcohol and were transported to the Clay County jail.
Strohman and Sorenson were cited for possession of alcohol under legal age and released. The juvenile female was cited for possession of alcohol under legal age and trespass and was released into the custody of her parents.
