(Arnolds Park)– Nominations are now being accepted for cheerleaders for the 2023 University of Okoboji Winter Games. Kiley Zankowski, Director of Marketing and Events for the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce says they’re accepting nominations through the end of this month…
“They are open online or you can fill out a paper nomination form and drop them off or email those over to us at the Chamber.”
Zankowski says there are a few things to consider when submitting a nomination…
“Nominees must be 18 years or older and then they must be a Dickinson county resident or employed in Dickinson county. We always say a good nominee exhibits a ready smile, a generous heart, good nature, definitely an enthusiasm for the University of Okoboji campus and all that it has to offer, and a sincere desire to give their time and talent to enhance the quality of life in the Iowa Great Lakes Area. Of course they need to be available and willing to cheer, cheer, cheer for Okoboji all Winter Games Weekend long. But it’s a really fun process. We do ask people to nominate. You can nominate anonymously or, you know, if you want your name listed on there, and then voting will be in person and online the first week in January.”
Zankowski says the cheerleaders will be announced shortly after that.
The 43rd annual University of Okoboji Winter Games will be held January 26th-29th, 2023.
