(Sheldon)– No one was hurt Tuesday when a vehicle collided with a motel in Sheldon.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 26-year-old Luz Guzman-Lira of Austin, Minnesota was driving a 2014 Honda CR-V northbound in the parking lot of the Sheldon Motel when she hit the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to collide with the building.
About $3,000 in damage was reported to the vehicle, while the building sustained an estimated $6,000 in damage.
The mishap took place around 4:00 pm.
