No Injuries Reported In Spirit Lake House Fire

(Spirit Lake)– No injuries were reported in a house fire Thursday evening in Spirit Lake. Spirit Lake Fire Chief Pat Daly tells KUOO news they were called a little before 8:00 pm to 1417 Indian Hills Drive…

“They had a report of a house full of smoke. When we got on the scene the windows were all blackened down by the smoke, we could smell the smoke, we could see a little bit. We made entry, it was a split level house, we made entry through the garage. The homeowner wasn’t there but he got there. He was the one that found it, so we went in that way and we hit the fire down in the lower part of the house.”

Daly says most of the heat damage was contained to the lower level…

“They’ve got a lot of burn damage down there, there was a lot of smoke through the whole house.”

Daly says the cause is under investigation.

Firefighters were on the scene a couple of hours.
