(West Okoboji)– No injuries were reported in a house fire this (Fri.) afternoon in the Maywood area. Yungbluth says the homeowner attempted to extinguish the fire himself and thought he had it out, but called 911 when he could still smell smoke in the house.
Yungbluth says they called for mutual assistance from the Milford Fire Department as a precaution…(click here for comment from Yungbluth.

The Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire Department was on the scene until shortly after 4:00 p.m.
Firefighters were assisted by the Arnolds Park and Milford Police Departments.
