(Spirit Lake)– No injuries were reported in a hay bale fire last (Wed.) evening near Spirit Lake.
Spirit Lake Fire Chief David Kollasch tells KUOO news firefighters were called shortly before 9:00 p.m. to the corner of 260th Avenue and Oak Lane. Upon arriving he says firefighters found two round hay bales on fire. Firefighters quickly extinguished them. The owner of the bales, Randy Magg, arrived on the scene with a tractor and removed a third bale before it could catch fire. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to just the two hay bales.
They were on the scene about an hour.
The cause of the fire isn’t known.
