(Spencer)– The same moose that was spotted last week in Sioux county appears to be making its way east. DNR Conservation Officer Joey Yarkosky says the animal was spotted earlier this week near Gillett Grove in Clay County and was seen Wednesday near Ruthven.
Yarkosky says anyone who sees the animal should leave it alone and keep your distance.
While it’s rare for a moose to be seen this far south, it certainly isn’t unprecedented as there have been sightings in past years.
